A Study on Investor's Awareness Levels of Selected Public and Private Sector Banks Mutual Funds

Abstract

This study objective is to know investor’s awareness levels & perceptions towards selected mutual funds in Hyderabad and its sub-areas in Telangana. The study helps the mutual fund houses to know the investors' awareness towards their investments in the mutual funds and also helps the selected mutual fund companies to understand whether investors satisfied with   different services provided by them or not in present scenario. The study focuses on the selected mutual funds such as SBI, BOI, CANARA, UNION, BARODA, IDFC, HDFC, AXIS, ICICI, and Kotak Mutual funds. The data has been collected from 210 respondents through a structured questionnaire by using the purposive sampling method. Secondary data has been collected through various journals, magazines, newspapers, and websites, etc. Frequency tables are used to analyze the data .The study findings shows that majority of the investors have knowledge on mutual funds and are satisfied by the services provided by public & private sector banks mutual funds and also investors are suggested that schemes documents should be minimized and make flexible repayment system. This study can be extended to other areas by taking other mutual funds based on their growth, brand, and royalty, etc.
