Strategic Planning for the Rehabilitation of the General Company for Phosphate in Anbar Governorate.

Abstract

The phosphate industry is one of the vital and important manufacturing industries in the national economy, as it is a strategic industry linked to economic development and the formation of the national income of the country. Given the importance of the phosphate industry, due to its production of the necessary commodities that meet the increase in demand for phosphate in the local markets, and on the basis of that In this research, we will plan strategically for the rehabilitation of the General Company for Phosphate in Anbar Governorate, by presenting the company’s current reality and the destruction that occurred to it, and then evaluating this destruction using the strategic analysis of the internal and external environment, and then identifying the strategic alternatives and choosing the strategic plan to correct the desired company. The researcher reached several results, the most important of which was that the estimated amount for the rehabilitation of the General Phosphate Company was estimated at (500) million dollars during a period of two years from the date of starting the rehabilitation works. Therefore, the researcher recommended working on attracting the production units in the company as a developing pole in the governorate by investing production units and providing electric energy on a continuous basis in order to re-work the production lines with their planned design capacity.
