Abstract

The dairy industry is one of the most polluting of industries, not only in terms of the volume of effluent generated as well as its characteristics. Dairy wastewaters are characterized by high biological-oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) concentrations. A wide range of high technologies is available for dairy industrial wastewater treatment. This study examined the applying of using sponge and non-woven polypropylene geo– textile 800 gm to improve septic tank effluent which are achieve high removal efficiencies of TSS, BOD and COD up to 94.96%, 79.72%, 79.19% and 98.14%, 70.28%, 70.36% for each type respectively. The study mentioned that using non-woven polypropylene geo– textile 800 gm is more effective and economic
