Smart Attendance Monitoring System for Facial Recognition-Based in Educational Institution

Abstract

From early age, taking attendance in schools, colleges, offices and organizations is one of the most important tasks. But, until the early 21st century taking attendance was usually manual which is a time-consuming process and involves huge man power. Due to advancement in the field of computers and technology the process of taking attendance is computerized and most of the institutions, and organizations started using automated systems for marking the attendance. The main purpose of this paper is to build a face recognition-based attendance monitoring system for educational institution to enhance and upgrade the current attendance system into more efficient and effectiveness working as compared to before.
