Abstract

Adolescence is a time when people's emotions are at their peak. If teenagers are unable to recognize, understand, manage, and operate with their emotions, their behavior and personality will be permanently altered. The transition from childhood to adulthood is particularly crucial during adolescence (ages 12 to 18). Children are becoming more self-reliant, and they are beginning to think about their future careers, relationships, families, and homes, among other things. Individuals desire to be a part of a society and to fit in. This is a critical time in a child's development when he must learn the roles he will play as an adult. During this time, the teenager will re-examine his or her identity and try to figure out who he or she really is. Emotional intelligence is crucial during this stage. The ability to comprehend and control one's own and others' emotions is referred to as emotional intelligence. It refers to a set of abilities that includes empathy, self-control, self-awareness, sensitivity to others' feelings, perseverance, and self-motivation. The importance of emotional intelligence will be discussed in this paper, as well as the numerous theories and models that relate to it. The researcher attempted to develop a framework based on ideas and models that makes a difference in teenagers' emotional intelligence.
