Abstract

In power grid many generators are connected in parallel to supply the load. For satisfactory working of load utility need to deliver power to the customer according to Indian Electricity grid code. The voltage and frequency must be within limits. To avoid black outs and brownouts in the grid it is necessary to disconnect the feeder in which voltage and frequency variation in values are detected.  In this paper the variation in voltage and frequency of any external source is monitored by means of ARDUINO microcontroller and op-amps. During any abnormal operating condition a message is sent to the concern authority for further action through GSM.
