Abstract

COVID-19 caused noticeable changes in our lifestyle due to the quarantine measures followed in most countries of the world. There were restrictions on large gatherings, suspension of face-to-face education and moving to distance education, instead. Distance education became an inevitable option, especially since the World Health Organization has stated that COVID-19 vaccine will not be available before 2021. Shedding light on how to properly motivate students to go back to classes after COVID-19 is important and worth paying attention to. The study raises the alarm about the reluctance of resuming face-to-face education on the part of students and the importance of boosting motivation particularly after COVID-19 crisis. It seems that one of the most prominent contradictions in this period is how university students have expressed their positive tendencies towards e-learning. It has been observed that students find online more interesting than attending face-to-face classes.  The study addresses the issues of motivating face-to-face education and discusses the improvement possibilities of three axes: the teacher, the student, and the educational aids.  The pillars of successful education, lie in the presence of a motivated teacher, a student who is passionate about learning, and the availability of appropriate educational techniques and aids.
