Cloud Kitchens – The Future Of Online Food Services Industry Post-Covid-19

Abstract

To find out how the concept of cloud kitchens is perceived by consumers and restaurant owners and whether it is an answer to face the challenges of COVID-19 in restaurant industry. The review paper aims to explain the impact of COVID-19 on online food delivery focused on cloud kitchens models and the previous discussions regarding the studies done in cloud kitchens and the online food delivery. The study finds that post-covid19, the cloud kitchens were widely accepted among consumers and the cloud kitchens were the new revelation for the traditional restaurants and online food aggregators. The concept of cloud kitchens is never been explored or addressed in Asian Countries in general or in India until the year 2020.
