Comparison of Computational Methods by Applying on Transient Couette Magnetic Nano Fluid Flow
Abstract
The unsteady isothermal Couette flow of an incompressible Newtonian magnetic nano fluid is studied. A uniform suction, constant pressure gradient and injection normal to the surface of the plates are applied and the viscous dissipations are not neglected. Numerical solutions for the governing momentum equation are determined by using explicit method of finite difference method, finite volume method and finite element method. Obtained results are compared with analytical solution to check accuracy of the numerical method and finally three numerical methods compared for Discretization effort, Formulation effort and computational effort to select optimized method.
