Implementation of Response Surface Approach for Optimization of Abrasive Jet Machining Process Parameters
Abstract
Using an abrasive jet machine (AJM) to machining brittle surface. The current study looks at how different regulating parameters affect performance measures like Material Removal Rate (MRR), Perpendicularity (PR), and Concentrated diameter (CD). Air pressure(P), Stand-off distance (S), Nozzle diameter(D), and Abrasive particle mass flow rate(Q) are all controlling parameters for determining their influence on AJM performance metrics. The temperature of the mixing chamber and the rotational speed of the mixing chamber are both fixed at the same time. The newly constructed AJM contains a specific heating and rotational mechanism for experimental reasons, as opposed to typical AJM procedures. Base on ANOVA, found that pressure is more significant parameters for MRR, SOD is more significant parameters for PR as well as CD.
