Abstract

The Indian farmers and the supply chains for agricultural production had faced serious unwanted implications on March 24, 2020, when the Government of India ordered a complete lockdown of the country as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. India is an agro-based country. Most people depend on agriculture as a primary source of income. But due to pandemics, this sector has been seriously affected particularly in the production, marketing, and consumption of agriculture. The present paper has an attempt to study the impact of COVID-19 on Indian agriculture by using a secondary source of data. This paper has also tried to throw light on the 10 point strategy on the agricultural sector after the pandemic. It also concluded with some suggestive measures to improve this sector in the post-COVID-19 situation.
