Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in socio-economic growth of a country and is a significant concern to both scholars and policymakers. Women entrepreneurship has grown significantly worldwide and widely established that entrepreneurship is vital for economic growth and wealth. The Existing literature on women entrepreneurship highlights that socio-cultural factors play a decisive role in the process of entrepreneurship. By identifying the literature gap, the researcher attempted to evaluate the intensity of Psycho-Social Factors impede the growth of Women Entrepreneurs and the impact of social, economic, and political factors. The present study has been carried out among 240 women agropreneurs in Kanyakumari District who involved in the agribusiness of varied nature from production to marketing. Though the main focus is on the Factors impeding the growth of Women Agropreneurs, the researcher has concentrated on the Psycho-Social Factors in general and the social, economic and political factors in Particular. The data were processed through SPSS software and analysed with Mean, Standard Deviation, Shapiro-Wilk Statistic test (α), Cronbach's Alpha, ANOVA, Correlation analysis and Garrett ranking. The study shows that the women involved in entrepreneurship could get rid of superstitious activities and educate their kids; the economic impact is good and interested in political factors. The conclusion derived from the analysis is that women can be more vibrant and powerful in their ventures socially, economically and politically with proper encouragement and socialisation.
