Abstract

The IOT network is a decentralized network that can detect information and transmit it to the base station. Energy consumption is a significant problem for the network due to the small size of the sensor nodes. LEACH is a low-energy technique for segmenting a network into fixed-size clusters. Each cluster selects a cluster head who may send data to the base station. The LEACH protocol was enhanced in this study to decrease the energy consumption of wireless sensor networks. Cache nodes are installed in the proposed enhancement to collect data from cluster - head and then pass it to the base station. The suggested method is simulated in MATLAB, and the results are compared to the current approach in terms of specific parameters. The suggested method is shown to outperform current techniques.
