Predicting the Artificial Intelligence Funding for Global Start-ups and analysing the Future Trend of its usage

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making machines do tasks that require human intelligence to get completed. Due to evolution in artificial Intelligence, there is a race between Natural Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence. Some researchers argue that natural intelligence can never be replicated. It involves qualitative aspects of a human brain viz. Creativity, Intuition, Judgement etc.  So artificial intelligence will take ages to actually come closer to Natural Intelligence. But looking at the rapid pace at which AI, NLP (Natural Language Processing) and Speech Recognition technologies are evolving, it might overtake natural intelligence at many levels where repetitive tasks are involved.

Every aspect of human and computer interaction will focus on usage of Artificial Intelligence. In the research paper, the past data on global AI start-up funding was collected from a well-recognized secondary web source. A linear regression model was developed for predicting the future funding and analysing the trend till the year 2025. From the model, it is found that there is an exponential growth on global AI start-up funding of $4.25 Billion in 2014 to $55.95 Billion in 2025.
