Butterfly Particle Swarm Optimization based Medical Image Watermarking in Frequency Domain

Abstract

Digitalization of records leads to reduce load of searching and management. But in electronic health records data privacy and validation plays an important role. Watermarking is solution for such issue to get digital information for image. This paper has proposed a model that embedded a binary data into medical image by using butterfly particle swarm optimization genetic algorithm. Role of genetic algorithm is to select a random image block for embedding with an objective of minimum distortion. Embedding was done in low frequency region of image identified by DWT feature. Experiment was performed on real medical image dataset of brain cancer. In order to test proposed model different attacks were perform on embedded image such as noise, histogram, filter, etc. Result shows that proposed model has efficiently extract watermark information as compared to other comparing watermarking techniques.
