Experimental Study Of Machining Parameters Of En8 & En19 Steel With Tungsten Carbide Tool By Using Conventional Lathe Machine
Abstract
Prime goal of this work is to determine the optimized operation variables while performing turning operation on the EN8 and EN19 steel using conventional CNC machine. Tungsten carbide tool was utilized to perform the turning machining. The outcome of operation variables such as machining speed (150, 200, 250rpm), feed rate (0.05, 0.06,0.07mm/min), depth of cut is (0.5, 0.6, 0.7) on the surface roughness and Material Removal Rate (MRR) were studied. L9 orthogonal array design table is utilized to do the experimentation. S/N ratio analysis was performed to find the optimum operation variables and ANOVA was derived to evaluate the hierarchy of variable that affecting the output response.
