Analysis of Blood Pressure Waveforms - Vital Signs Monitoring Using IOTs
Abstract
Temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and other vital indicators are examples. The equipment can now record essential signs, which means that patients’ vital signs are read and digitalized as numbers. Many technological laboratories and health-instrument manufacturers are attempting to establish an Internet of Things (IoT) system based on vital signs for monitoring and advising patients on the best treatment approach. Because blood pressure is the leading cause of cardiovascular illness, several efforts are being undertaken to develop blood pressure measurement devices to improve the family health care system, aside from the systolic and diastolic pressures from portable devices, which will be recorded and sent to iCloud for monitoring, the additional data from patient blood pressure aids with follow-up and treatment planning. To determine this issue, we studied blood pressure waveforms to find the indicator for increasing treatment quality. The blood pressure waveform from the cuff is used to determine which point is linked to heart disease. The blood pressure waveforms revealed arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia, extra-ventricular contraction, and so on; waveforms can also reveal cardiac valve abnormalities. Long-term analysis of blood pressure waveform data can detect heart rhythm and propose that the family doctor concentrates on heart valve illness.
