Abstract

City traffic is becoming increasingly congested with the growing urbanization. Parking issues are very common, especially in large cities and this becomes a reason towards toughlife in the cities. According to IoT Analytics, global spending on smart parking goods and services will reach $3.8 billion by 2023, growing at a 14 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The rise in market spending is encouraging since it will motivate individuals to strive to address traffic problems rather than do nothing. It is self-evident that a problem exists. The most pressing concern is how technology will factor into this scenario. The establishment of an IoT-based system that delivers information about available and occupied parking spaces via a web/mobile application is known as smart parking development. Each parking place is equipped with an Internet of Things device that contains sensors and microcontrollers. The user is provided a real-time update on the availability of all parking spaces and is given the option of selecting the best one. This research examines the technology that supports smart parking solutions by looking at various IoT-based parking management and overviews. The objective is to use the Internet of Things to execute the smart parking concept.
