Abstract

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is an important research area in the field of computer vision and machine learning. Human activity recognition (HAR) is the outcome of a similar motive. Recent times have seen the theory of Human Activity Recognition (HAR) catering to multiple challenging applications built on the increase in ubiquitous, persuasive computing. Human Activity recognition has become an important technology that is changing the landscape of people’s daily routine contributing to a wide range of applications as assistive technology, health and fitness tracking, elder care and automated surveillance to name a few. However, as the field is rich in practical applications, the challenges emerging for activity recognition are multi fold. Human action recognition is defined as automatic understating of what actions occur in a video performed by a human.
