Speed Control of D.C Motor using cascade PI Control system

Abstract

DC Motors are used at large extent in mechanical engineering field. DC Motors are act as a compact speed machine which is used while running the applications. Because of high accuracy in speed control, DC engine drive is preferable in many dynamic speed application, where there could be a need to maintain a speed with respect to some environment or condition. In many mechanical based designs, the adjustment in speed based on the currently executing task is required to work efficiently. It helps in reduce the efforts while operating motor. Shunt motor  is a specifically designed motor to work on a steady speed. However it can work with more versatility by integrating it with  armature rheostat and field control approach. This research focuses on the maintaining the DC engine induction to efficiently control the engine speed.
