REDUCED SETS OF FREQUENT SIMILAR PATTERN MINING APPLICATIONS IN THE FIELD OF BIOINFORMATICS
Abstract
From past three decades, frequent pattern mining techniques have been a part of solutions to
various problems in the orbit of Bioinformatics . Frequent itemsets mining is one of the most
famous frequent pattern mining technique for identifying elements that co-occur frequently.
Frequent itemsets mining technique are capable of efficiently capturing the characteristics of
huge and complex data as well as concisely summarizing it. Techniques like compact
representation of frequent itemset and Similar patterns mining is very essential in field of
Bioinformatics. Compact representation of frequent itemset and Similar pattern mining can be
employed to overcome the problems of frequent itemsets mining like missing of patterns which
may be interesting, informative and generation of large number of itemsets . In this paper we
have discussed how beneficial the concept of reduced sets of frequent similar pattern mining is
in the field of Bioinformatics. Compact representation of frequent itemset is achieved by using
closed frequent pattern mining or Maximal frequent pattern mining techniques.
