Abstract

Highly productive manufacturing industries usually use presses. In the last few years, punching has also become very important for the processing of technically complex products such as metal foils. Suitable for the aerospace or electronics industry. In this study, the punching tool experienced stress, deformation, and strain during punching and punching. This machine is used in small and medium-sized industries. The punching model was changed in four different ways, resulting in a total of 5 geometric shapes. These five models are hollow pistons with a flat surface. A hole with balanced convex and convex shear forces, a hole with an inverted cup-shaped surface and a hole with rounded corners around its peripheral leading edge. As a result, it was found that piston with balanced convex shear force (model 2) in the assessment of stiffness characteristics for all types of punch showed best performance, indicating that this type of punch can practically be recommended in practice to reduce the load on the tool can therefore be used to punch thicker or more durable items on the same press or allow the use of presses with lower grades.
