Reduction of Harmonics using Hysteresis Control of Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Motor

Abstract

thispaper proposed about the performance enhancement of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive using one of the PWM technique by reducing the harmonics due to the various types of the loads. The Induction motor drive utilizing the hysteresis comparators which suffer from high torque ripple and variable switching frequency causes the distortions in the dynamic conditions. The DC-AC conversion of electric power is usually done in the three- phaseinverter operation with the help ofIGBT switchand the output ofVSI isfed to PMSM motor drive. The voltage source inverter is controlled by one of the PWM current controller like hysteresis controller with a reference input of speed in rpm (revolutions per minute) connected to a gain. It also has an input ofmeasured speed and three phase stator currents of PMSM drive for comparison. The proposed fuzzy based PMSM drive system, thereby dramatically reducing the torque ripple. The Fuzzy Controller is mainly used here to achieve precision speed control and Duty Ratio Control which are used to reducing the torque & flux ripple. When Fuzzy Logic is used as an on-line tuning controller, it receives scaled values of the speed error and change of speed error. Its output is updating in the controller gains based on a set of rules to maintain the excellent control performance even in the presence of parameter variation and drive non-linearity. Simulink and where the controllers generate the PWM signal and send the signal to the gate driver of a three-phase inverter to give a stable performance to the induction motor. Finally, the PMSM motor drive is analyzed to reduce of torque ripples using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
