Abstract

Bamboo fiber and teak wood powder reinforced synthesized are not fully utilized due to the slenderunderstanding on their mechanical properties.this paper bamboo is reinforcing with the polyester resin andalso the bamboo fiber is hybridized with the teak wood fiber. In this study the bamboo and teak wood hybridcomposite were fabricated and analyzed through experimentation. The main objective is to find mechanicaland physical properties using Taguchi L9 orthogonal array considering the two design parameters viz. weightfraction of bamboo fiber and teak wood powder. Orthogonal arrays of Taguchi, signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio andregression analyses are employed. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out to obtain the significantvaluesof tensilestrength, flexuralstrengthand impactstrengthat95%confidencelevel.
