A Study on the Image Characteristics of Female Goblin Characters in Fine Arts Films

Abstract

In the art of Chinese animation, the female characters have continued and evolved into the magnificent and colorful artistic vitality with the characteristics of the times, from the strange power to the secular life. The art films showed the most abundant and multi-faceted Chinese traditional female images Before the reform and opening up. However, with the arrival of the animated film The Legend of the Heaven in the 1980s, the female characters in the art films began to deliberately dress up and show off their ugliness. It gradually showed the contrasting design ideas that were different from the traditional female aesthetics in the narrative composition, modeling design and animation performance.Based on the formal language analysis of the female character image of the old fox demon in the film, this paper tries to analyze and interpret the development period of Chinese animation art modernism which is rooted in the traditional national culture, facing the world and brave in innovation through this phenomenon.
