Abstract

Electricity is broadly utilized  around  the world,  the prime features represent facile generating, transmission &distribution. High voltage(H.V) transformer is broadly used in power systems. Partial discharge(PD) pattern inside oil tank of power transformer is proposed depending on the PD equivalent circuit. Because of presence of  a beady square cavity inside the liquid insulator therefor, PD activity  is analyzed under  MatLab environment. PD voltage and current detection is studied under different H.V supplies and at both (50/60)Hz frequencies.
