Abstract

The impact of the digital economy on higher education and undergraduate phase has leaped up to a hot research issues in society. Digital economy presents new opportunities and transformation for traditional economic management, new infrastructure and engineering courses. Big data and data economy become key factors in economic, social, and environmental governance. Based on the teaching data, in-depth interviews, cases analysis and comparative methods, the research has important findings: First, it is difficult for higher education to adapt to the rapid development of the digital economy. Second, Traditional professional courses have shortcomings in terms of course goal positioning, teacher-student interaction, course assessment and evaluation, and compound digital professionals. For the purpose of coping with the risks and challenges brought by the new trend of the digital economy in higher education, this research proposes several optimization strategies based on the characteristics of university teaching, curriculum system, and students’ sense of learning. Higher education and universities should set up curriculum content with the pursue of cultivating undergraduate students’ data thinking and application capability; reform curriculum talent training methods to catch up to the new challenges of digital economy and new infrastructure; use network training resources to upgrade course simulation experiments; make full use of high-quality online courses resources form a digital ecological education system; promote human capital oriented connotative, double-class discipline construction.
