Abstract

In this paper, 120 college students were selected as the study subjects, and the effects of error reporting behavior and task difficulty on individual interpersonal judgment were studied by using the method of inter-subject random experiment and scenario simulation. Our findings revealed that error reporting behavior had a significant positive effect on the competence and honesty judgment, and task difficulty also had a significant positive effect on competence judgment. However, the main effect of task difficulty on honesty was not significant. In addition, there was no significant interaction between error reporting and task difficulty in both competence and honesty judgment. The results of this study will help us to expand the understanding of error reporting and increase the enthusiasm of individuals for error reporting.
